It's just a cut-out of a larger picture that will be published on indahnesia.com tomorrow, but we give you some head start to guess what the picture might be. The exact name would be perfect, but a description of what you are seeing and where the location might is okay too. We will provide more details tomorrow when this picture is published in the picture gallery 'Seeing is believing'.

Tune Hotels: 'Don't tell lies about our services' Tune Hotels has responded to claims that its pricing strategy for its two Bali properties is threatening the viability of local, Balinese-owned Melati class hotels. Quoted in Bali Post, a member of the Badung House of Representatives alleged that a Tune Hotel in Legian was "of a five star standard" but offering prices as low as Rp. 230,000 (18 euro) a night which compete with locally owned and operated Melati class hotels.

Gunung Bagging: a new website for hikers Indonesia is a hiker’s paradise, but sometimes it can be tough just knowing where to start. A new website aims to help you take the first step. Dan Quinn makes lists. He makes lists of things to do. He makes lists of things to buy. And he’s made a list of mountains to climb. “Without a list,” he says, “I don’t get things done.”

Panorama pictures from Indonesia A nice piece of work, panoramic pictures made on many locations in Indonesia. The best part of it is that you can view them and even place them on your own website like the example below. On the website itself are over 100 locations in Indonesia in full panorama waiting for you. Take a look from Monas in Jakarta, Gedung Sate in Bandung or other locations from your very own lazy chair. Who doesn't like that?

Religious idiot of the month: Tifatul Sembiring I don't know if it has to be something monthly, I am afraid that it will be something daily here in Indonesia. Still I am going to try it: putting down the most stupid religious talk from the mouth of an Indonesian person in this blog, so others with at least some common sense can 'finish him off' (proverbial that is).

List of most influential Muslems: Congratulations Indonesia! Congratulations! Indonesia did not win again. They did not loose either, but are just playing a small role in this case. Most likely that is the best solution as well. Huh? What? Not winning is still okay? For sure, since it is all about the small representation of Indonesians in the list of 500 most prominent Muslems in the world.

Thank you for the emails After over one day without internet in Yogyakarta we left for Malang yesterday in the early afternoon. We used a travel (small bus that will bring you to your final destination right away, 100,000 Rupiah per person) to travel between these cities. We arrived here early in the evening. At that time I tried to connect to the internet but it still didn't work. I then suspected my modem was most likely not working anymore.

Science in the land where gods reign Iyan Nurmansyah, living in Oxford in the United Kingdom wrote an opinion on the website of The Jakarta post last week. I will just copy the reaction below. He seems to point at the exact problems Indonesia is facing; corruption, religion and ignorant people. Speaks for itself I suppose.
