Uh oh, Australian arrested with two grams of marijuana An Australian dad, Robert Paul McJannett (48) who flew to Bali with his 21-year-old son yesterday evening, has been arrested for possession of illegal drugs. This case however does not seem to be the standard smuggling case, but just 'bringing along personal belongings', since Robert Paul only brought two grams of marijuana.

Son of mayor arrested during drug party The police of the city Bontang in East Kalimantan has arrested five people early on Wednesday. They were caught during a drug party held in a house in the city. One of those arrested was soon identified as the son of Bontang mayor Sofyan Hasdam. The Bontang police chief, Ismed Wijaya, confirmed the arrest of the mayors son. The remainder of the crystal methamphetamine, popularly named shabu-shabu was seized by the police.

14 Leptospirosis patients in Tarakan hospital After the recent floods in some parts of West and Central Java, new cases of Leptospirosis rose to 14. All of the patients are in a hospital in Tarakan. Dr. Nazir, the hospital's internist told Antara News that two of the freshly admitted patients were in serious condition. He also told that most of the patients were brought in in a serious condition.

Aid has yet to reach some in central Java Villagers pleaded for food and shelter Thursday in areas yet to be reached by foreign relief teams five days after Indonesia's devastating earthquake. Survivors searched for scraps of tin and other materials to rebuild destroyed homes. Others blocked traffic to plead for money or placed flower pots and trash cans on streets to slow traffic and beg for donations.
