Susi Air has announced that it will start serving the route Jakarta - Pangandaran via Bandung. The flight will depart from Halim Perdanakusuma airport in southern Jakarta, will make a stopover in Bandung and will continue the trip to Pangandaran from there. Normal travel time from Jakarta to Pangandaran is about six hours, but with this flight it will be shortened to about one hour.

Less than half of 32 provincial elections commission (KPUDs) have submitted the results of their field verification on 40 political parties, raising fears the slow progress would severely affect preparations for next year's elections. KPU deputy chairman Ramlan Surbakti said over the weekend that only 14 provincial KPUDs had submitted their reports by Saturday, two days after the deadline lapsed last Thursday.

State-owned electricity company PT PLN said that power reserves on Java and Bali had been depleted, but stopped short of saying there could be more blackouts in the future.
Company president Eddie Widiono said that the current reserve margin had reached 28 percent, which is lower than the minimum reserve margin of 30 percent to avert power disruptions.
