Sexy and Indonesian #4: Nine pictures of Julia Perez This time not just one picture, but set of pictures of a well-known Indonesian woman, Julia Perez. She is known from Indonesian television, where she acts and presents. The also is a dangdut singer and also a model, as you can see below. Because of her relation with Damien Perez she was able to feature as a model in FHM and Maxim magazines in France, so she is not only known in Indonesia.

Sexy and Indonesian #3 The third picture in the now almost legendaric series. Still not much reactions, but the views compensate it all. This time an unknown lady that works as a dancer in the Skygarden club in Kuta. That's indeed Bali nightlife. This young woman it willing to dance until she drops as long as security keeps away members of the other sex.

Sexy and Indonesian #2 Because the first few pictures that were published here on the blog were a big hit - little reactions but many, many views - we are continuing with the 'Sexy and Indonesian' series for now. This time it is Fifi Buntaran that is on our blog. If you are in need of more, pictures can be found on Flickr.

Sexy and Indonesian With a bikini in a swimming pool. No clue who this young woman might be, but sometimes that doesn't even really matter. Sometimes people need distraction from their daily activities or the daily news which has not been that enjoyable in the recent week. Here she is. No bigger version available though.

Sexy, a young woman with candy Simply strange to see. Make a sexy picture of yourself, or ask your friends to make one of you, just to put this picture on your Facebook or Myspace in the hope that people are willing to give a comment on it. Many people aim at comments that are all to predictable, but short replies like "Sexy!", "Hot!" and "I would like to have sex with you!" in various phrases are all to common, also in Indonesian of course.

The bare necessities of Kuta nightlife Responding to numerous complaints from the local community and suggestions that agitated neighbor were getting ready to take matters into their own hands, a team of district and village officials - backed up with a cadre of local citizenry, swooped down on a Kuta night spot rounding up scantily-clad exotic dancers and the bars' management for a late-night "meeting" at the Lurah or Sub-district chief's office.

From cappuccino to Coca Cola Jack Daniels in one nights' out (II) The later it gets, the more clear it becomes that Kedai Kopi Jakal - Jakal is a subtraction Jalan Kaliurang, the street where the coffee house is located - has become a real gathering place. After ten in the evening the first groups of people decide to go out already. They will most likely be headed for one of the several nightclubs that Jogja has to spend the rest of the evening. Empty seats are filled up again in quite a short time, but they brought their laptop this time, so most likely they will be around for some time to come. That should not be a problem as well because they serve you until three in the morning of the next day.

Radical wind blows stronger than ever through Indonesia With the adoption of the 'anti-pornography' laws yesterday, Indonesia is approaching more and more the ideal image of a remote province of the Middle East. With adopting the law, which has been pushed forward by the radical-Islamic FPI (Islamic Defenders Front) and the MUI (Council of Islamic Scholars) for almost a decade now, it is now possible to act on your own when you see something that is not acceptable for you. In most countries that would be called 'taking matters into your own hands', but not anymore in Indonesia, where a young democracy is buried under a thick layer of radical-Islamic mud.

Ramadan on Batam: Really closed down? The afternoon after that, the second day of Ramadan, I made a walk through the town of Nagoya, which is the most important place on the island outside the industrial estates and shipyards which are spread on other parts of the island. Nagoya Hill is the biggest shopping center of the island. Entirely according to Indonesian standards this shopping center - also called 'superblok' - features a big Hypermart supermarket, a Matahari department store, half a floor of mobile communication and one floor of food court of mixed quality. It is directly noticeable that it is an entirely different world than outside. Restaurants outside behave themselves as chameleons by acting they are closed, while they are still open.

The bare breasts of Djarum It has to be said that it is somewhat strange to see when you are browsing the internet and you end up looking at a number of pictures where some women with bare breasts advertise an Indonesian cigarette-brand. In this case it was Djarum that was doing its best in Hungary to have their brand settled in the local market. Whether the clove-cigarette-producer will be able to build a brand as strong as it is in Indonesia, I can't tell, but would having women with their breasts bared have any positive impact in this entire story?

Adult magazine Playboy to make debut in Indonesia The U.S. pornographic magazine Playboy reportedly plans to make first publishing in Indonesia in March despite strong opposition from clerics and lawmakers. Local on-line media Detikcom reported Friday that the magazine's local promoters earlier this week have arranged an audition for local models who will be required to wear bikini and sexy night dress.

Every day now onwards since the busy way project has launched in Jakarta the media has been following it like Tom and Jerry cartoons. The media has not left any single incident happened unheard, from ever the busway has launched like long queues, drivers protest, accident s, and small incidents which make them look big in paper and television. Why are they doing this? Do they want to prove that that this transportation would be of no use in the city? And if this is the prime objective of them it’s a sign of pessimism of these characters in a developing country like Indonesia. But instead they should stand united to support a project that is for the middle class and the poor who are the 60% population of their own country.

There are no actual proof in the existence of ghosts. When approaching claims made by people who have seen ghosts, we should approach those claims with skepticism. Before we accept those claims to be true, we should consider every single aspect of those claims from every different angle until there's no room for doubts, which in this case, is unlikely.

Bali says no to stripteases A tourism official in Bali has criticized certain nightclubs on the resort island that entertain visitors with striptease performances. "If a striptease that doesn’t correspond with the local people’s culture is freely performed in the country’s famous tourist resort, it will harm Balinese tourism culture, which predominantly reflects Hinduism," head of the provincial tourism department Gde Pitana was quoted as saying by state news agency Antara on Saturday (14/9/02).
