Indonesia has expanded the visa on arrival (VoA) facility to 11 more countries and is currently considering 11 more countries in an attempt to lure foreign tourists to the country. The 11 newly granted countries are Algeria, the Czech Republic, Fiji, Latvia, Libya, Lithuania, Panama, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Tunisia. The Directorate General of Immigration announced yesterday that based on a decree, citizens from a total of 63 countries are now able to enjoy a visa on arrival.

Six passengers survived, officials said. The Mandala Airlines Boeing 737 was heading to Jakarta in overcast weather when it crashed seconds after takeoff, bursting into flames and sending thick clouds of black smoke high into the air.
