3 put to death for leading attacks on Muslims Three Christian militants were executed by firing squad early Friday for leading attacks on Muslims six years ago that left 70 people dead, sparking fresh sectarian clashes on restive Sulawesi island, police said. Mobs torched cars and police posts in several villages before security forces restored order, said Maj. Rudy Sufahriyadi, the Poso police chief. Elsewhere they blockaded roads and threw stones at houses and government offices. At least three people were hurt.

While House of Representatives special committee chairman Balkan Kaplale promised people in Batam there would be major changes to the draft of the bill, legislator Rustam E. Tamburaka said in Bali that "there may be some exceptions in the bill for Bali and Papua".

Police arrest Dutchman for alleged child molestation Police in the Bali regency of Buleleng are questioning a Dutch national who has been arrested for an alleged sexual abuse of minors. The police have taken statements from three boys who said that the 44-year-old Dutchman, identified only by his initials as MC, had sodomized them. But detective chief Adj. Comr. M. Mughoni said he was looking for two more children who might have also fallen victim to the abuse.

Al-Qaeda names Australians as top targets Australians have been named in an Al-Qaeda terror manual as the main targets for terrorist attack in Indonesia, a newspaper report said. The Australian said the 11-page manual, "Targeting the Cities", specifies which foreign nationals to target in Muslim nations, such as Americans in Saudi Arabia, French in Algiers and Australians in Indonesia. It did not say where or how it had obtained the document.

Bali exodus beginning Foreigners are waiting anxiously at Bali international airport for a flight home as a potentially devastating exodus began building up following the horrendous bomb attack on two bars packed with tourists, many of them Australian. Italian tourist Simone Tedeschi said he was at the Sari Club on Bali's famous tourist drag in Kuta last night when the huge car bomb went off, killing at least 182 people.

Head of the provincial immigration office, I Gede Widiartha said here Wednesday that in the same period Australia with 23.204 tourists and Taiwan with 18.845 vacationists came in second and third respectively.
