Police say the manager was apprehended in Bandung on Friday, February 5, 2010. The arrest follows an earlier arrest, also in Bandung, of a manager working for Bank Central Asia (BCA).

Arrests made in Bali over ATM scandal Police in Bali and Jakarta have made a number of arrests in a scam that has fleeced larges sums of money from the bank accounts of people who used ATMs in Bali. The well-organized and sophisticated criminals reportedly installed an additional fake slot on an ATM Machine together with a small CCTV camera that recorded the password entered by the ATM customer.

PIN-codes for 264,000 Indonesia bank accounts stolen A spokesman for the national police in Indonesia, Edward Aritonang, has said that 13 suspects had stolen a grand total of some 264,000 PIN-codes for personal bank accounts belonging to Indonesian customers. However not all the stolen PIN-codes are active, most of them were, as it seems. Some people may already have closed their accounts earlier.

Bogor Police deputy chief, Adj. Sr. Comr. Makmun Saleh said on Friday that the robbery's execution indicated it had been committed by cold-blooded criminals. IBRA faces tough challenges in meeting target The Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) admitted that the challenges ahead would be "incredibly huge" in meeting its 2001 target. IBRA deputy chairman Slamet Sumantri said that the agency would find it difficult to obtain a good price for its banking assets because of competition from other similar agencies in neighboring countries.
