A forensic expert testifying in a murder trial involving former anti graft leader Antasari Azhar said Thursday the police had asked him to manipulate the autopsy of murder victim Nasruddin Zulkarnaen. Not long after he submitted the autopsy report to the police, Abdul said he had received two calls from an officer from City Police's forensic laboratory center and its detective deputy chief.

Police insists on accusing KPK leaders The national police chief in Indonesia, Bambang Hendarso Danuri, said that investigators had solid evidence in the bribery and extortion case involving two officials of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). He said there was evidence that businessman Anggoro Widjojo was implicated in the case as well.

Wanted: New leader of corruption watchdog KPK After Antasari Azhar was arrested for his supposed involvement in a murder case earlier this year, the Indonesian corruption watchdog KPK does not have a leader anymore. A.A., as he is named popularly, has been put on non-active shortly after his arrest. Since he was the head of the corruption watchdog, there was no way that he would be able to return to his post, even if he was to be freed later on.

Anti-corruption watchdog seizes 194 bn Rupiah from state officials Indonesia Anti-Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said that it has seized 194 billion Rupiah (12.9 million euro) in state assets from public officials during the 2007-2008 period, according to a newspaper on Monday. Prosecutors fail to jail Tommy The threat to jail former president Soeharto's youngest son Hutomo "Tommy" Mandala Putra by force should he fail to surrender himself proved to be empty on Friday as Tommy was declared "lost" by prosecutors, after he successfully evaded receiving the presidential decree rejecting his plea for pardon. Attorney General Marzuki Darusman, however, said that he believed Tommy had not fled the country and would meet the deadline on Monday.
