Bishop: 'Islam terrorises minorities' JAKARTA - The majority of Muslems in Indonesia terrorizes religious minorities like Christians. The local authorities have the obligation to guarantee that minorities are free in expression of their religion, but that doesn't stop Muslems from forcing their rules onto them. These words were spoken by bishop Johannes Pujasumarta of West Java when he was interviewed by the Catholic press agency AsaiaNews.

The bishop, also secretary-general of the Indonesian conference of bishops, was one of the religious leaders in the country that had conversations with members of parliament in Jakarta. The subject of the talks was the difficult situation of religious minorities in the country. Pujasumarta pointed at attacks on churches by radical Muslems in recent years.

Recently there were incidents in Bekasi and Purwakarta in the western part of the island Java and in northern Sumatra. A vast majority of the 235 million residents of Indonesia is Muslem. Just short of ten percent is Christian.

A vast majority of the 235 million residents of Indonesia is Muslem. Just short of ten percent is Christian.

That is wishful thinking and the desire of the Muslim (mis)leaders. It's a common secret that the actual number of Christians and Hindus in the country is much more higher and that many Muslims are only nominal (so called KTP-) Muslims. Undisclosed figures repeatedly mention only a 40 percent of the population is actually Muslim. But that is against the sore leg of the religious (mis)leaders and the fanatics and therefore risky - even dangerous - to pronounce. So that's why the numbers are inflated. It also shows the intolerance of the Muslim chieftains.

Yeah, official figures are used indeed. It is generally assumed that the number of Muslems is much lower indeed, but how low? A scary question for MUI and other religious bodies that hide all possible answers below 85%.

One thing is for sure, my girlfriend officially became Christian last week after she was f*cked by her stepmother (Muslem, biological mother was Christian but died when giving birth to a son when my girlfriend was only five) that gave her a KTP Islam. It has been corrected now, happy as she is. Emoticon: Shiny

Yes, probably we are..... Already 2010......still some of the inhabitants of this planet are living in the Dark Ages (but using all the modern technology for there nefarious plans).

But okay, that's apart from what the topic is about.
The local authorities have the obligation to guarantee that minorities are free in expression of their religion, but that doesn't stop Muslems from forcing their rules onto them.

Just because they (think they) are the majority, the moslems are forcing others to behave according their rules. But if the hindu's or the christians were in charge, they would probably do the same......that damned world religions.

  • In the past, Chistians are dogmatistic and use much violence, but actually we are supposed to be not ..... or less; because it turned not to be wise to do so ...... Islamists should learned from Christian experiences from the past that violence do not bring 'something good' especially when He Himself is Great in Love & Understanding ......

    Two examples:

  • the Dutch Catholic priest who denies a gay person in church .......

  • Islamists not allowing Christians to use 'Allah' for God ... what is next secluding SALAMat only for Islamists ..... where do you start where are you ending .....
