'Striptease cafe' in Bandung closed by police BANDUNG - The city government Bandung in West Java, is planning on asking the owner of Kafe Bell Air in the Paskal Hyper Square shopping mall along Jalan HOS Tjokroaminoto what was going on in his place. It is expected that the place was offering striptease acts when celebrating New Year a few days back. If there indeed was a striptease act, the permit of the cafe can be suspended for that.

Ayi Vivananda, the vice-mayor of Bandung, has said that the owner will be summoned to give an explanation any time soon. Ayi also added that they will see the owner as innocent in this case, until the contrary has been proven. "But if there were indeed nude dancers in any cafe during the celebration of New Year, then cafe's in the city should be monitored more strictly," Ayi said.

"We will also review the permit for the cafe. If there is evidence that a striptease was held, we will revoke the permit," told Ayi. Ayi also asked the public to be aware of such events and report them directly. He told that the city council of Bandung would never be able to check out every place in Bandung because there was only limited staff available.

Four woman and the owner of the cafe were arrested around 05:00 in the morning of the new year when police entered the cafe.

The police officers themselves also; they are regular customers in such places, including high ranked civil servants.
Ayi Vivananda, the vice-mayor of Bandung....... told that the city council of Bandung would never be able to check out every place in Bandung because there was only limited staff available.

That what happens when the staff itself isn't available because they're hanging around in such places of entertainment. Last saturday met a whole bunch of " pejabats " (senior officials) who where having the time of their life in one of "these places" in Bandung.

Probably the real reason was that they didnt pay enough "tax" to the Bandung police.
