LIPPO CIKARANG - I don't know if it has to be something monthly, I am afraid that it will be something daily here in Indonesia. Still I am going to try it: putting down the most stupid religious talk from the mouth of an Indonesian person in this blog, so others with at least some common sense can 'finish him off' (proverbial that is).
We are going to discuss Tifatul Sembiring. He currently is the chairman of the radical Islamic PKS (Prosperous Justice Party) which is trying to install a caliphate in big parts of Asia by talking nice words and giving away gifts. Since this is against the Indonesian constitution, they don't tell you this in their party program though.
Unfortunately this idiot is currently also Minister of Communication and Information in the current cabinet. He is hand-picked by Yudhoyono as one of the few ministers that originate from a party with an obvious Islamic program. He was able to do this because these parties have all lost in the general elections that were held earlier and it seems to me that Yudhoyono is picking the most stupid person he could find so he will be able to clean out the remaining bits of idiocy in the coming five years.
But what has Tifatul Sembiring done wrong? He has been minister for just a short period of time. That is right indeed, but he managed to say that the current string of natural disasters in Indonesia is caused by immoral behavior of the people. According to him there are television programs that damage moral in the country, which causes natural disasters to continue.
It seems that he is not praying hard enough as a Muslim to resist everything that his God has forbidden him in his own personal way that he find it necessary to blame all Indonesians of his problem as well. He doesn't seem to understand that a majority of the Indonesians doesn't really like radical elements in their society, hence the dramatic loss during the most recent general elections.
His words have triggered angry reactions on various websites in Indonesia, especially from people that follow him on the social networking site Twitter. Many people said that the focus should not be at immorality but at other problems in this country. Who wants to wake up Tifatul Sembiring, telling him that the real problem is he himself as someone that spreads lies among the poorly educated people of Indonesia?
Tifatul Sembiring is a sick religious idiot that should be fired and jailed for lying to the public in his function as a minister. People have gone to jail for less than this. President Yudhoyono, please make an example of this moron and fire him.
