NGANJUK - A businessman in sugar cane from Sumber Sari in the district of Nganjuk became the victim of a robbery on Friday afternoon. Sutrisno (56) picked up his identity card that he forgot from the Sugar Cane Farmers Corporation (KPTR) in the district of Patianrowo when his car was approached by two people using a motorcycle.
It only took two minutes for the two persons to do what they planned to do. As the 16 year old daughter of the victim was still in the car, which was parked along the side of the road. The two people opened the car and grabbed a bag which was filled with a cash sum of money of 35 million Rupiah (2,500 euro). All the daugher could do was scream for help as the bag was grabbed from the car.
The money in the car was supposed to be brought to a bank in Kertosono. A spokesperson for the police said that the incident happened at around ten in the morning while some residents and employees of KPTR were in the area. They were most likely pretty scared and did not act immediately, which enabled the two people to run off.
