JAKARTA - The Indonesian airline Batavia Air has announced that they will start with two new routes. They will fly direct daily between Jakarta and Singapore as well as Semarang in Central Java and Singapore. The flight between Semarang and Singapore is fairly remarkable, as national flag carrier Garuda Indonesia ceased operations on that same route.
The flight from Jakarta to Singapore will depart at 07:00 local time and will arrive in Singapore at 09:35, where Singapore is one hour ahead of Jakarta. The return flight departs at 16:50 and arrives in Jakarta at 17:20. The flight from Semarang departs at 12:40 from Semarang and arrives in Singapore at 15:40. The trip back from Singapore departs at 10:35 and arrives in Semarang at 11:40.
