LIPPO CIKARANG - Advertisement in Indonesia is just like the average Indonesian: to be found everywhere but in general you will not have a problem with it. Normally spoken I am not bothered by advertisements that you will find everywhere in the daily life in Indonesia. Everywhere there are advertisements. I am happy most of them are not interactive ones, but mainly billboards, banners and stickers.
Sometimes I see things that are less familiar for me. A while ago I stood in front of an ATM to get some cash money. That worked out and after the transaction was finished I got the receipt which I always save 'just in case' something goes wrong. Nothing has gone wrong until now, and I hope to keep it that way as well. On these receipts, a small advertisement is printed as well nowadays.
I has seen before that there was an advertisement on those receipts, but I never really read them. Most likely because I can often decide fairly quickly whether something is needed or not. That saves time in the first place, however it might move others to ask questions when I leave something behind that is of no value, while others think differently about that.
The three lines of text on my receipt made it possible to win money ('increase your saldo'), as well as winning luxury card like BMW's and Toyota Camry's. Motorcycles are given away as well in the campaign of Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI). Those motorcycles are added for the big part of the population that can not even pay for the maintenance of the big cars.
Unfortunately I don't have an account with BNI, I don't want to open an account with them and I don't really need to win a sponsored BMW or Toyota Camry as well. They are good for being parked, but to drive around in them ... that is not too smart on a road system that more resembles Swiss cheese than something else. Above all, there are always lines in front of the local BNI branch. There are no lines at BII, so that's why I have my accounts there.

Reclame op het bonnetje van je pin-transactie.
