JAKARTA - An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter Scale just shook western parts of Java and southern parts of Sumatra. The quake was located at sea at just 42 kilometers of Ujung Kulon, off the western tip of the island of Java. The quake was felt throughout western parts of the island, but no information about casualties or damages is known at the moment.
The quake took place at 16:52 local time (GMT+7). People at offices in high-rise buildings in Jakarta evacuated from their workplaces as the quake was also felt in the Indonesian capital Jakarta. A number of moderate and heavy earthquakes have his western Indonesia in recent weeks. The biggest one caused at least 1.100 to lose their lives in and around the city of Padang in West Sumatra.

I was called just two minutes after the quake. Again the quake was felt in Jakarta, so I suspect they are getting quite nervous there.. hehe..
