KUTA - Always had the desire to take a very young girl as your second wife but never found parents that wanted to sell their child and find a place where such actions are allowed? Indonesia might very well be the solution for this problem as it seems.
Since a judge decided yesterday that a sick-minded cleric was allowed to marry with a 12-year-old girl then still in elementary school at the time of their marriage, Indonesia has the opportunity to become a roll model country for child brides, or is it more a lost opportunity to defend their children from such sick actions?
Since a big part of the Indonesian population is younger than 18 years, it might very well be that an adult man in his forties develops a need to marry a girl aged 12. Things like that are not uncommon in Indonesia, where girls as young as 14 or 15 years are turned into child brides in the hope for a better financial future for the bride as well as the family that 'sells' the bride. At least that is what is the big hope, reality is often different.
That crazy fool named 'Sheik Puji' has found a way to heaten up the battle for his child-bride marriage saying it is completely according to Islamic beliefs to pick a nice and young girl to be his second wife. His first wife is adult already, so he seemed in urgent need of a young girl to feed his needs. That's why he picked an innocent elementary school girl.
Before he was arrested he manifested himself as a high Islamic scholar, dressed in a white 'dress' and cap. That he is in fact just completely crazy showed soon when he spent a part of his money to build a fake prison which was used to prove that he was only followed because he was that rich. He was sure about that, at least that is what he showed to the press.
A person that rich and can't be prosecuted for abusing a child because he married with her, promising that he would not completely destroy her before she had reached adulthood, has to be stopped in another way then. You can't tell me that all his wealth (it seems to be dozens of millions in euro) has been gathered without a single Rupiah of corruption.
Send out the KPK (anti corruption watchdog), because ten years in prison for a few billions of Rupiah in corruption seems to be easier than being convicted of child molestation in this country. This kind of criminals should be behind bars, especially those that use a religion to exploit their needs and get away with it as well.
