YOGYAKARTA - The second day of Lebaran, yesterday, has moved thousands of local tourists from different parts of Yogyakarta and surrounding areas to visit the beaches on the southern side of the province. The beaches of Depok and Parangtritis were flooded with tourists looking for a nice scenery and the fresh sea-food. There was even a shortage of parking space at certain moments.
Still quite early in the morning there were already over 1.000 people on the beach of Depok, according to staff at the entrance booth for the beach. Towards the afternoon it was expected that there were some 5.000 visitors on the beach. Most of them were families. The beach of Parangtritis saw some 4.000 visitors on the first day of Lebaran though.
