LIPPO CIKARANG - An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter Scale occurred in the waters south of the resort island of Bali earlier this morning. The quake took place at 07:04 local time (GMT+8) and was located at 101 kilometers southeast of Nusa Dua in southern Bali.
Based on information from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency BMKG the earthquake took place at a depth of just 36 kilometers, but it did not have the power to produce a tsunami. There were no reports of damage or injuries caused by the earthquake.
