FPI doesn't agree with how it goes - again LIPPO CIKARANG - The head of the FPI (Front Pembela Islam, 'Islamic Defenders Front') has said that the current Cipta Kondisi operation held by the police during the holy month of Ramadan is provocative. Habib Rizieq Shihab said that the operation by the police was like terrorism and intimidate religious persons like in the time of Suharto. "It violates human rights and the constitution," he said in an SMS while he was in Samarinda, Kalimantan.

Fortunately he himself is completely clean. Probably his white sorban and jubah should be te evidence of this, because his actions as the leader of FPI are far less than totally clean. As the head he was fully responsible for the violent attack on a peaceful demonstration held near Monas over a year ago. He is also the person responsible for smashing up hundreds of night spots and cafe's - which are not in line with the visions of the FPI.

Easy to blame others, but fortunately he has lost most of his support, forcing the FPI to drastically scale down their 'operations of religion'. They are now confined to just sending SMS-es to the media about their wishes for a pan-Islamic state, which is against the Indonesian Constitution, but that does Mr. Habib not prevent from spreading his ideas. It is also the same Constitution he says is currently being violated by the police.

Habib also said that the twin suicide attack was not a good thing. Might sound good from a mouth that normally only talks about he wants to force others to live their lives in Indonesia, but that is too good to be true. He only rejected the bombings because Moslems were injured or killed in the attack. The small guy, barely 160 centimeters has a very big mouth, but has not been seen in public for quite some time. He knows he is losing his battle. Now get lost permanently, quickly.

Strange that it are almost always people with low self esteem and no-selfconfidence (ugly, short, fat, etc.) who become awful sadistic leaders. Example: Napoleon, Hitler, Khomeini, Ba'ashir, etc.
I had the same experience a couple of years ago with a neighbour who was an islamic religion teacher at a Pesantren: ugly, fat and short like a dwarf. But was a well respected person and man of distinction in the neighbourhood.......a religion teacher in a quite fanatic area with quite a lot of power but - like Randy Newman already sang: "Don't like short people......"

I also wonder where these sorban and jubah guys get their money from. Yesterday I was taking the plane from Jakarta to Yogya and there was a group of so-called hardliners taking the plane also.....one needs money for that. They looked awful with their jubah , beards, "high water" pants and sandals, and I'm sure they don't earn their money in an economic productive way because there's no company which will accept a person with such an appearance with a job-selection. No company will take somebody like these persons as a marketing or promotion manager. Even on the lowest level/floor they will never get a decent job. So where is the money coming from for buying a plane ticket (and this is not an exception, you see this sort of guys quite often in a plane)?
