JAKARTA - Ten people on board of the the ferry Sari Mulia that sunk on the Barito river yesterday afternoon have been found dead. One of the dead is a little child of only two years old. The coordinator of the regional search and rescue team, Suprapto, has said that 116 people were rescued until now.
Since the manifest of the ferry was missing - which is not uncommon in Indonesia - it is still not sure how much passengers were on board of the ferry. The exact number might never be known as well. It is assumed that at least 132 passengers were on board. Those killed in the accident were five male persons and five female persons.
