SURABAYA - A high-class illegal brothel has been closed down by the East Java police. During the raid, Kok Jiang was arrested for being pimp. Nine of his 'children' were arrested as well. Kok Jiang posted messages on advertisement pages of newspapers in and around Surabaya looking for people who want to assist bringing customers to him. He also asked for new girls to join in working in his 'massage parlor'. When girls started working for him, he also required them doing 'extra services', locally known as pijat plus-plus.
One hour of pleasure with one of the girls of Kok Jiang is quite expensive, around two million Rupiah. From that total, the girl receives one million (70 euro), 900.000 Rupiah goes into the pocket of Kok Jiang and a mere 100.000 Rupiah is for the calo (middleman). Advertisements in local and regional newspapers are also a way of contacting men that long for the services of pijat plus-plus. They only have to contact him over the phone to make an appointment.
The illegal brothel has been up and running for at least two years. Last week the police started a big-scale investigation into the brothel, which was finally closed down yesterday. One of his girls was arrested when she was servicing a client in a hotel in Surabaya. What happened with the client is not known, he was probably left empty-handed. No money and no plus-plus

It's almost Ramadan, the most difficult time of the year for this kind of business as it seems. They get raided, even if they have paid their share to the police and army already. Why? Big religious forces that don't agree with how things work. Forced prostitution is not good, but prostitution will always exist, resistance only leads to more secretive activities.
