LIPPO CIKARANG - The regional police of Surakarta (Solo) in Central Java, is doing all it can to make the moving space for terrorists in the region as small as possible. Outside the roadside checkups that are organized at various locations in the area, they have also printed some 15.000 posters with pictures of fugitive terrorist Noordin Mohammad Top. They are spread in busy areas in the entire district of Surakarta.
"The locations we choose are strategic one where many people come together," tells Awali, a spokesperson for the regional police. It is the first time that pictures of the wanted terrorist leader are spread in the area. The pictures were also handed over to becak (pedicab) drivers on various locations in the city. Flyers were handed out to drivers on the main road between Surakarta and Kartasura and the local Carrefour hypermart
Local traditional markets also received a visit from police handing out flyers with pictures of the terrorist. The poster contains an image of Noordin M. Top in five different styles. Since he has been wanted and missing for quite some time it is hard to tell what he exactly looks like now. "If someone recognizes him or knows where he is hiding, please contact the police directly."
