LIPPO CIKARANG - As much as 44 suspected cases of Mexican Flu are recorded in Indonesia at this moment. However information about most cases is limited, there are 14 suspected patients in a Jakarta hospital while 11 others are in the Sanglah general hospital on the resort island of Bali. 11 more suspected cases are treated in a hospital in Medan, North Sumatra.
Furthermore there are eight crew members of Lion Air which are suspected of having contracted Mexican Flu. They were on a flight between Makassar and the most easternmost province of Papua before falling ill. They are all in a hospital in Makassar, South Sulawesi for further investigation of their illness and proper treatment.
All eleven cases in Medan, North Sumatra originated from one single Air Asia flight. Passengers departed from Bangkok on June 30, and flew to Medan via Kuala Lumpur on the same date. They are all being treated in the Adam Malik general hospital in Medan. In all cases there is no information about the nationality of the patients.
