Teen model escapes 'abusive' Malaysian prince JAKARTA - A teenage US-Indonesian model has returned to her family in Indonesia with tales of abuse, rape and torture at the hands of a Malaysian prince, after her dramatic escape with the help of Singapore police. Manohara Odelia Pinot, 17, told reporters she was treated like a sex slave after her marriage to Tengku Temenggong Mohammad Fakhry, the prince of Malaysia's Kelantan state, last year.

Her mother, Daisy Fajarina, said she would press charges against the 31-year-old prince, and blamed the Malaysian and Indonesian governments for trying to cover up the alleged abuse. "The things I've been afraid of were revealed to be true. Manohara has suffered physical abuse. She's got several razor cuts on her chest," Fajarina told AFP on Monday.

"No parent could be silent if their child was treated in such a barbaric way." The Malaysian government had ignored her pleas for access to her daughter and had blocked her from entering the country, she said, while the Indonesian embassy had said that Manohara was fine with her new husband. But the young woman - a well-known socialite in Jakarta - said her life at the royal palace involved a "daily routine" of rape, abuse, torture and occasional drug injections that made her vomit blood.

She said she was usually held under guard in her bedroom at the palace and was injected with tranquilisers whenever she complained. "I am still traumatised by all that happened and it has left an impact on me," she told reporters in Jakarta on Sunday, after escaping the royal family during a trip to Singapore over the weekend. "I could never think a normal man could do such things," she said, adding: "Some parts of my body were cut by a razor."

She blasted the Indonesian embassy in Malaysia, saying: "They made it worse by telling lies, saying that I was fine while I was suffering in Kelantan." A spokesman for the Indonesian foreign ministry insisted the embassy had done everything it could to help Manohara and said the government would assist her if she wanted to file charges against her husband.

Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the government would not investigate the claims. "I think this is more of a personal matter. To date we have not been dragged into it, so we want to leave it as it is," he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia's royal rulers used to enjoy immunity from criminal and civil charges but the privilege was removed in 1993.

Because I couldn't find the link, therefore I added my link. Normally you place them both at the same time (nearly). I didn't know somebody else already place a topic about it.

This is only 'the top of the iceberg' because in SAUDI ARABIA and other MOSLIM STATES many ASIAN women are daily abused raped and used as sexslaves and the
government of INDONESIA does NOTHING and closes their eyes.
Even in PATTAYA the SEXCAPITAL of the WORLD I spoke with many THAIwomen who worked in the SEXbusiness and they told me that MOSLIMMEN are the WORST customers because they are perverts and doesnt show any RESPECT towards THAIwomen and as a result many THAIwomen REFUSE to have SEX with MOSLIMmen.

Nothing ever changes because many MUSLIMmen are still living in the 14th
century and only take the benefits from the 21th century...

I can confirm that men with an (Arabic) Islamic background are the worst man around!

This is not only a foreign issue, but also within the Netherlands these man by far the worst to meet. It looks to me that for Moroccan and Turkish man interrupting woman is their daily hobby. The fact that I'm clearly married does not seem to bother them the least.

Thank God, Indonesian men, even when they are Islamic, are still behaving quite polite. I hope and pray the bad influence of Islam will not make this deteriorate.

I have written many times about the bad aspects of Islam and obviously this aspect of treating woman is about as worse as it gets.

Is it because of the Islam or because of the culture in those countries. You've just said Indonesia is also Islamic.

How are the man behaving towards woman in Asian Islamic countries?

According to Wilders, Islam is not a religion, but a totalitarian political ideology.

I think he's wrong about that.

Islam is mostly a culture with both religious and political aspects.

By far, the cultural aspect or 'way-of-life' aspect is the most important.

Most of Indonesia, traditionally, has a strong pre-Islamic culture. North Sumatera is perhap the exception.

Unfortunately, during the last 2 decades the fundamentalists from the Middle East have pulled the strings of Indonesia relaxed interpretation of the Islam into the situation we currently have.

Indonesian Islam is still far more relaxed than that of most of the Middle East, but the changes have been quite dramatic.

The Iran revolution has showed that the last part of normal life as we know it can go very rapidly.

One more reason to remain vigilant. Emoticon: Yawn

So you can draw the conclusion that it has to do with the culture in the Middle East how the guys behave. After all the, position of the woman in the society is in the middle east much different then in Asia.

But also on Java you will find enough guys who think they can get every woman married or not. This is because the women in Asia or in Indonesia are so stupid, that they tolerate such behaviour. Or, should I say " Like".

The man do not like intelligent woman. I see it in my own factory, if a motor from one of my amplas girl does not want to start. Within seconds 10 guys are standing around her to help her. Instead of waiting to see after trying once more, maybe the motor will start.

The woman is only behaving more stupid and laughing, she likes it very much al the attention.

So in Indonesia the woman caused all the discrimination all by themselves. I think Kartini would turn around in her grave if she would know how the women behave. After all she started with more rights for the woman in Indonesia.

Why do the woman in the west have so much rights (not yet the same), because they latterly fought for it.

In Indonesia they do not fight for it. In many womans magazine you read how to obay to your husband or how to make him happy.
But will you ever read in a males magazine in Indonesia how to make your wife happy?

Some news about the dear prince.

Prince sues runaway bride
6:15AM Tuesday Jul 21, 2009

A Malaysian prince sued his runaway Indonesian teen wife and mother-in-law for claiming he had raped and tortured the teen during their year-long marriage, his lawyer said.

Tengku Temenggong Mohammad Fakhry, a prince in northern Kelantan state, filed a defamation suit in the High Court seeking 105 million ringgit ($45.4 million) in damages from Manohara Odelia Pinot and her mother, said lawyer Mohamad Haaziq Pillay.

The 17-year-old Pinot, a well-known socialite, returned to Indonesia in May and told media that the 31-year-old Fakhry had slashed her with razor blades and treated her as a sex slave.

If the made or her parents would have $45juta, she would not need to be working as a made, I presume.

Well, if she (of her family) had 45 million dollar, why marry a son of a sultan with prehistoric thoughts about women?

This prooves once again that INDONESIA and MALAYSIAboth Moslimcountries doesnt
help their women when they are in serious trouble and abused by Moslimmen.
As long this very bad mentality doesnt change I cannot respect Indonesian and Malaysian government.
It makes me very sad actuality when I read stories like this because hey whe are living in the 21th century where all women must have equal rights no matter what religion they have...
