JAKARTA - Just a day before she was set to take the stage, pop singer Rihanna has canceled a concert in Indonesia amid concerns about her safety. The Bajan beauty was scheduled to perform in front of a sold-out crowd in the capital Jakarta on Friday.
But Rihanna, currently on tour in Australia, reportedly changed her mind when the Aussie government issued a travel advisory this week, warning its citizens to avoid Indonesia.
The warning came amid fears of revenge attacks after three Islamic militants were executed for their involvement in the 2002 Bali bombings. Event organizers have expressed their hope the "Umbrella" singer will return to the city in January.
