JAKARTA - According to the Flood Coordination Team of the Jakarta area, there were flood reported at 144 locations in the city. They all formed in less than two hours. Around 12:00 local time (GMT+7) yesterday afternoon there were floods on 70 locations in the city. Just two hours later there were 144 spots. This information was released by the head of the team, Bobby Aryono on Friday evening.
Floods occurred in Central Jakarta in Serdang, Cempaka Baru, Kemayoran and Petamburan with heights between 20 and 70 centimeters. In North Jakarta floods reached up to 50 to 60 centimeters. This time the flood there occurred in Kapuk Muara, Penjaringan, Koja, Cilincing, Pademangan and Kelapa Gading. In West Jakarta the floods hit the areas of Kebon Jeruk, Kalideres, Cengkareng, Palmerah and Grogol. Southern Jakarta also got it's fair share with floods in Kebayoran Baru and Petogogan. In Eastern Jakarta floods occurred in Ciracar and Rambutan Timur with heights up to 60 centimeters.
