KEDIRI - The temperature of the crater lake at Mount Kelud still continues to rise throughout Saturday and reached 52.9° C at a depth of fifteen meters, which is already 12.9° C higher than in the hours before the last eruption in 1990. At ten meters the lake now reached 47.8° C, the surface measures 46.7° C.
Antara News from a local police office in Ngancar, district Kediri, reported on Saturday evening that the activity of the volcano since Saturday afternoon continued to be high with continuous tremors. The number of tremors is not counted anymore. The weather conditions around the volcano deteriorated further after 20:45 (GMT+7) with heavy rains lashing the area where there earlier was moderate rain.
