JAKARTA - A huge city fire on Monday has destroyed some 532 houses in the Jakarta district of Kalibaru. There were no fatal victims in the fire, according to Antara news agency. The people who lost their homes took refuge in schools and mosques in the area.
The fire started early in the morning and at the end the entire neighborhood of RW 10 in Pelabuhan Kalibaru street was reduces to ashes. At least 751 families or just less than 3,000 people were officially living there according to the Jakarta City government.
