JAKARTA - Indonesia has asked for foreign help in finding a missing passenger jet as anger grows over inaccurate official statements that the plane's wreckage was found. Military officials say Singapore and the United States have been asked to assist in the search effort. Rescue teams are conducting searches by air and sea, scouring waters off the coast of northern Sulawesi Island as well as its dense tropical forests. Bad weather is complicating the process.
Anguished families of the 102 people on board the Boeing 737 airliner are becoming increasingly angry and anxious as the search has turned up no sign of the plane. Senior Indonesian officials said Tuesday that the plane's wreckage and 12 survivors had been found. They later retracted the statement, shocking passengers' families and stirring criticism from the media.
Transportation officials say the plane was flight-worthy. They blame bad weather for the crash. The airliner was reported to be carrying 96 passengers and six crew members when it disappeared in stormy weather Monday.

Aah, the blame-game has begun even before the plane has been found let alone the possible victims buried.

You know it can make me so angry. Since I'm in Indonesia (2004), lots of things happened: earthquakes, tsunami's and a lot of other poor things for Indonesia. You should think authorities get experienced, capable, with disasters. Instead of that more and more people try to get attention, and yes point at others when it's getting difficult, over the dead bodies of others. Again America, the most hated country here, has to come with real solutions (CNN report they are sending troops over). A bloody shame...
