JAKARTA - According to official omitted government reports, 5 young Australian journalists were executed on the orders of Indonesian military chiefs. George Brownbill, a top lawyer contests the official story that all 5 journalists were caught in a crossfire in Balibo while covering the 1975 invasion of East Timor by Indonesian forces.
An intercepted radio message between a commanding officer just hours after the massacre said: "In accordance with your instructions" the 5 have been located and shot. The bodies were then looted and burnt. This cable is said to still exist.
