JAKARTA - A Russian aircraft was slightly damaged while landing at the airport in Banjarmasin in southern Kalimantan, Indonesia, a RIA Novosti correspondent said Friday. Two Be-200 amphibious aircraft from Russia's Emergencies Ministry have been involved in firefighting operations on Sumatra and Kalimantan.
"The aircraft overshot the runway by several meters in heavy rain," said Valery Kruze, commander of the ministry's aviation team. He said the plane will be repaired and will resume operations in the near future.
