JAKARTA - Indonesian police have defused a bomb found in front of a church in the restive province of Central Sulawesi. The state Antara news agency says the low-intensity bomb was found wrapped in paper in front of a church in Parigi Moutong district. Police who arrived on the scene alerted the bomb squad, who safely defused the device.
An investigation is underway. The area borders the Poso district, where intermittent clashes between Muslims and Christians have killed more than 1,000 people since 2000.
