AUSTRALIA - The Federal Government has announced a reward of up to $2 million for information leading to the capture and prosecution of those people responsible for the Bali bombing. The Prime Minister has ordered a review of all intelligence material after government agencies have admitted they had received intelligence warning Bali was a potential terrorist target. John Howard says recent United States intelligence reports warned of possible terrorist activity against United States citizens in tourist locations across Indonesia and it mentioned Bali. Mr Howard says that information was made available to Australian intelligence agencies. "This intelligence was assessed and the view was formed that no alteration in the threat assessment level was warranted," he said. Mr Howard repeated his earlier comment, that there had been no specific information warning of a planned bombing in Bali. And he has instigated an inquiry to examine all the relevant material received by Australian intelligence agencies.
