JAKARTA - One man was confirmed dead and 33 other people are still missing five days after their boat sank in rough seas off the west coast of Indonesia's Sumatra island, a navy officer said Monday. The Kuda Mas motorised fishing boat left the port of Pulau Bai in Bengkulu last Tuesday. It is believed to have sunk on Wednesday 262 km northwest of the port, said Master Sergeant Heri of the Bengkulu navy base. "One very weak survivor was found on Saturday and one body was found a few hours later. Thirty-three people are still missing," Heri said. The survivor is being treated at a hospital at the naval base.
