New infrastructure projects to start in March 2015 The construction of new infrastructure projects will commence in March 2015 at the latest, stated President Joko Widodo, or popularly known as Jokowi. To realize the goal, Jokowi revealed that he will soon announce a Presidential Instruction to accelerate swifter absorption of the governments budget by governmental bodies.

The toll road which will link the regencies of Bandung , Garut and Tasikmalaya will reduce traffic congestion in the southern part of West Java, head of the West Java regional development Deny Juanda said here on Wednesday.

Plans for high-speed train between Jakarta and Bandung The governmentís plan to use the Shinkansen bullet train to link Jakarta and Bandung in the next five years will shorten travel time for the 150-kilometer route between the two cities from around three hours to only 37 minutes.

Jakarta proposes to construct three underpasses The Jakarta provincial administration plans to build underground crossing tunnels in several locations in the capital city to ease off pedestrian traffic at street crossings, Governor Joko Widodo stated here on Friday. "We will build tunnels in three locations. Hopefully, the construction can start within this year," the governor noted.

Jakarta monorail project to be completed in 2017: Adhi Karya Publicly traded construction company PT Adhi Karya Tbk said construction of Jakartas monorail project linking Bekasi-Cawang and Cibubur-Cawang will start in 2015 to be completed in 2017. Construction of the Jakarta Link Transportation (JLT) will start in April , 2015 although it has yet to wait for the presidential regulation on monorail.

Jakarta to build elevated train track in 2015 Jakarta city will build an elevated train track to address the traffic congestion in the capital starting 2015. "The building of the elevated train track can be done by next year, 2015," Director General of Railways from the Transportation Ministry, Herman Dwiatmoko, stated in a written statement received here on Friday.

State companies ready to build Sunda Strait bridge project Minister for State Enterprises Dahlan Iskan said two state construction companies have the capability to build the 30-kilometer bridge spanning the sea between Java and Sumatra in the Sunda Strait.
