Indonesia and Singapore have issued a set of stamps together on October 31, 2009. The Indonesian part of the issue contains a mini sheet with eight stamps, four full sheets with stamps, a first day cover with one set of stamps and a special presentation pack. On the stamps are images of well-known places in Indonesia and Singapore.

After several reports of a failure of properly displaying a Google Maps map on several pages of the hotels that can be booked via indahnesia.com, we have found out what the actual problem was. This problem has been solved directly as well, so maps will appear for those hotels that have enabled us to display their location.

Since around half past three Dutch time (GMT+2) problems occurred at the computer that is displaying this website. However the problems only occurred in parts of the website, it was the part that is displayed for visitors that had the problem, so visitors did not see anything more than an error telling them the website was unavailable. The problems occurred at all websites so websites like indonesiepagina.nl and kamus-online.com were also unavailable.

Behind the scenes of this website, there are always things to be improved. Normally the visitor does not see these changes, because it's just improving already existing processes. One of those changes is how blog articles behind are created and published the scenes for example. The eventual result however can be seen by visitors.

In the recent days, over 30 new hotels were added to the 600 hotels already available on indahnesia.com. We now cover large parts of Indonesia with our hotels, from Aceh in the west to Jayapura in the remote eastern part of the country. With online booking facilities in place, you are able to secure your hotel room just as easy as buying a plane ticket.

Formerly named photobooks, the picture galleries on indanesia.com have been upgraded to improve viewing experience for visitors in the first place with proper navigation above and below the pictures. We have also readied the picture galleries to accommodate much larger pictures, up to 700 pixels wide! A few of those large pictures have been uploaded already.

Hotels offered on indahnesia.com in cooperation with Agoda.com have been upgraded to display more detailed information in relation to their direct environment. Hotels in the neighborhood are now displayed more properly than before, which improves finding the right hotel for you.

Recently all news items that have been published on indahnesia.com have been fully integrated with blog.indahnesia.com. Now you can react to every single news item posted on indahnesia.com. Earlier on this was limited to a set of forum topics linked to news items.

Starting late May, all stories that have been published on indahnesia.com can now be found on blog.indahnesia.com. This is the first step of a full integration of stories and news on indahnesia.com into one blog.

Hotels offered on indahnesia.com in cooperation with Agoda.com have been upgraded to display more detailed information and pictures about the hotels and their environment. Google maps have been added in many occasions to display the location of the hotels and other hotels in the neighborhood.

Graphics were added to support the exchange rate pages for five of the most important 'pairs' on indahnesia.com; EURIDR, USDIDR, MYRIDR, SGDIDR and JPYIDR. Three graphs were added; one displays the average rates per day in the last 40 days, one displays daily average rates over the last 600 days and one displays average monthly rates over the last 66 months. The good thing is: you can link them directly for use on your own website!

In the last couple of days, the online dictionary of kamus-online.com has been updated with some 2500 phrases and example sentences. Updates at the dictionary are an ongoing process of processing searches performed by visitors and paid members of the website.

Indonesian banknotes have a high rate of new issues. Since the fall of Suharto in 1998, most denominations have been changed twice. Since 2005, the newest serie - with the bright colors as a basic remarkable feature - is completed. indahnesia.com has a summary of what money you can expect to get in your hands while in Indonesia. The current exchange rates on indahnesia.com have been enhanced with the display of two general rates instead of the previous one. Now a range is displayed in which the Rupiah is currently trading, giving a better view on what is happening with the currency. With this, more people will see that the displayed rates are spot on or at least very close to what they will actually get themselves when changing money.
